Our promise: perfect hospitality in the romantic spirit of the Rennsteig. In honour of our namesake, Duke Georg I of Saxe-Meiningen, we aim to bring together culture and tradition with the beauty of the Thuringian Forest.
Surrounded by idyllic forests, Hotel Herzog Georg is located right in the historic centre of Bad Liebenstein, close to the Comödienhaus theatre, the Fountain Temple and the spa promenade.
We delight guests young and old with a young team, a cosy atmosphere, spacious, well-furnished rooms and our creative cuisine. Regional produce plays a key role in our company philosophy!
Our hotel has a total of 57 cosily furnished rooms: 36 in the main building and a further 21 modern rooms in the new building right next door. A large car park and a covered parking garage with EV charging points are available for your arrival. You can also look forward to a conference room and our restaurant, which reopened in 2021.
